Hi,

I was wondering how you can change Multisets on the x50 using midi. e.g. if, when playing back on Sonar a song which uses Multiset 001, how do you get Sonar to switch whichever the current Multiset is showing to 001?
I'm fine changing Bank and Program messages, but can't see a comparable set up for the Multiset numbers.
The manual says send a Song select message, but I'm not sure how to do that with Sonar.
Thanks for any advice on this.

Robert

Hi, yes! Still haven't worked it out! The manual says it responds to a Song select message - my impression (perhaps misguided) would be that, when you say opened your song in Sonar, it would open the correct multiset at the same time.
I even set a song in Sonar to send a sysx message back to the x50, with a dump of the multiset setting...and, did it change?....no such luck.
Its not a disaster, I name the multisets and rotate the dial.
But, should changing multisets by midi really be so difficult??

Resignedly, Robert
