In contrast to some recent posts having to do with upgrade issues, I thought I'd post something a bit "brighter".
I've had my Oasys76 since February now...the experience just keeps getting better and better! Its not just the ergonomic UI or the great engines inside - its just so damn inviting! Everybody gravitates to it when they enter the studio. At a recent launch party at my house thrown for the release of a new modular synthesizer ( http://www.mattsonminimodular.com ), I kept having to "shoo" folks away from the Oasys to focus on the matters at hand!
With each passing day this beast has "paid for itself" ten times over, allowing me to liquidate more than 20 keyboards and modules! The studio is cleaner and easier to maneuver in as well
Being able to focus on a smaller handfull of gear has made the overall music making process easier, more immediate and more fun.
The recent addition of the Mod-7 makes this thing a real monster! After a painless upgrade to the newest OS, I've been using Mod-7 for a few days now - what a fantastic engine! Complexity built upon basic building blocks but kept "shallow" to edit by way of the wonderful UI! For a while, I missed my old FS1R but not anymore.
Thanks again to all the folks at Korg (and Stephen of course) that keep this dream coming true! I'm sure they're working hard to solve any upgrade qualms and issues!
There's one other Korg keyboard in this shot but most people won't recognize it _________________ Best Regards, James

Wow, that is one cool & impressive studio!
The only thing you need now is a V-Synth |

Looks like a ES50 Poly, I also had one of those back in the day.

Thanks Hugo,
The V-synth is cool but I've got plenty of synths for my purposes - especially now that there's a "new" one living inside my Oasys
There are indeed two Moogs - I've had the LP for a while, got it to replace my old Moog Rogue (my first synthesizer bought new in 1983) - my impressions of the LP are here: http://www.carbon111.com
I'd always wanted a Mini but didn't want to pay eBay prices...I got lucky recently when I wandered into a Guitar Center where someone had traded one in. I was very pleased that the electronics had been gone over and were great and the unit had just had new bushings installed. Suprisingly (or maybe not), the Mini is quite different-sounding than the LP or their Voyager! I really love it! _________________ Best Regards, James

Korg lambda, perhaps badged under the Keio name???no Korg logo to the Right, but certainly shaped like the ES50
Didn't univox have some sort of distribution rights to Korg gear in the US and badged them as Univox, but were obviously Korg gear,Kind of recall they did that with the Minipops 7 and it was called the Univox SR95,

Good eye, guys!
It actually is a Lambda. I've got a little overview here with photos and MP3s: http://www.carbon111.com/lambda.html
Very cool, quirky, sweet-sounding piece of synth/keyboard history. _________________ Best Regards, James

James,
Just went to the site and looked and listened, really brought back some memories from that time, thanks.

You're welcome.
I took the Lambda as my exhibit to this year's Pacific Northwest Synthesizer Meeting and it was a big hit with everybody there. They're mostly DIYers and vintage dudes so the Oasys would have fallen on deaf ears _________________ Best Regards, James
