I programmed a lot of synths in the late 70's and early 80's - ending with the M1.

Now I'm rusty, and technology has moved on - I have a PA50 and really want to adjust the delay vibrato on the trumpet - it's driving me crazy -

I've read the manual and looked through the programming pages on the keyboard, but can't see where the delay is coming from - I'm assuming there's a delay on the LFO (s) ?

Also, is there a PC software editor for the PA50. like there was for the M1?

I posted in another section and only got 7 views, no replies, so it was probably the wrong place - hope there's a guru here that can help me.

You go to PROGRAM MODE and first enter the LFO Page, i think there is 2
LFOs for each sound. In there right around the middle somwhere right
under the graphical display of the LFO FREW you'll see the DELAY and all
the rest is in there too. Then go to PITCH page and go to the MOD page
in there you'll find the LFO MATRIX.

Thanks for the quick reply Nedim.

In program mode I went to the LFO pages (2 LFO)

changed both delays to 99 and also both to zero - no change in the delay vibrato , which I'm trying to alter as it's moving through too much pitch change and sounds sick.

Also went to the pitch page, no modulation there so I changed intensity to zero - no change.

At this stage I was wondering if I was really in an editing sitution so I went to the basic page and changed mono to poly - that worked.

I've been right through the 21 editing pages, can't locate what I'm looking for.

It appears this system uses an Alternative Modulation Source - in the pitch page I've dialled all those AMS settings of intensity to zero, but still no change to the delay vibrato.

I'm going wrong somewhere - any ideas?

Thanks Gino, I went right though the program edit menu and turned all intensitys and anything to do with pitch or delay to zero -

and still the delay vibrato is there!!!

I saved this change to a user bank and it's definitley lost some colour compared to the original - which is MONO TRUMPET - (PA50) I even turned the second oscillator off, so I was only dealing with one.

Could the base sound that the program comes from have the delay vibrato built into it? or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Is there PC based editing software for the PA50?

No PC based software, the last thing i can offer is...
SAVE the single sound on a floppy, put it in your comp,
send it to BASARISOUNDS@HOTMAIL.COM, i will check
it and FOR SURE i will find out exactly whats going on,
then i'll give you instruction what to do cuz if i send you
the same it wont work, i'll open it on PA800.
