I'm please to post that MOD-7 (in combination with other Oasys synth engines) has released me from the desire & financial burden of wanting another Virus TI, i've also sold all my other kit - Machinedrum, Micro Q, JV2080, WSA1 & i feel totally liberated. MOD-7 was the missing link for the type of music & sound i wanted to create & in combination with the other engines i'm able to push so far beyond what i'd deam was possible for music production / sound design & indeed the genre of music i make; i sometime find myself laughing almost maniacally at the what this machine can do, i caught my girlfriend staring at me in dis-belief at my reaction to a pad sound i'd made Embarassed Laughing V-Synth GT.....nah i don't want one, Nord Modular G2....no thank you, Reason....aarrrgghhh. Not saying these machine aren't quality but i've got my dream machine & i'm going to be distracted NO MORE. Thank you Korg.

The MOD-7 and Virus TI are quite different, each with different strengths.

I'd be more interested in comparisons between the MOD-7 and synths which are similar in one way or another, such as the SY-77/99 or K2xxx.

I'm on board with this one. I moved on from my SY99 (1991) to the Oasys this year. I hope to have the O near as long. The Mod-7 will be added to my O and a comparison of what I've known as SY sounds will ensue... I'd love to hear from other uses on this topic.
