Dear Moderators:
I noticed the download section is a bit lagging. So, the next time you have a spare moment, perhaps you can start three more download sections for the Oasys, the M3 and the EXB-Radias?
(In exchange, I'll try and do my part to populate them!)
Thanks very much. |

Where do I find the download section for the M-1. I need to get the factory sounds in midi file format so I can slow down the tempo, allowing my M-1 to "read" the data. |

OK...I have the midi file now from the download location, but I have no way to send it to the M-1 except a midi interface cable. Can anyone tell me if I can send this file over the cable, or do I need to download a sequencer software or buy a hardware sequencer like the Roland MC-500 I used to have back in the 80's? |

You need an application to send the .syx files from your PC to your M1 through your midi cable.
I use Soundiver but believe there's a program called midiox which does the same thing.
You set up the application to recognise your M1, open the .syx in the app, then transmit the data to the keyboard. _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

I have already downloaded midi-ox, but the syx. files are moving too fast to be recognized by the M-1. I have been told that I need to use a midi file and put delay between each bit of information. How do I do that? |

Sorry, I've had no experience of doing it the midi way, but via Google I found this... http://www.kidnepro.com/blog/transfering-sounds-via-midi-on-the-korg-m1/
It outlines how to use midi with your sequencer to load your M1...
Hope it helps! _________________ Plugged in: Fantom 8, Jupiter-X, Jupiter 80, System-8, JD-XA, V-Synth GTv2, FA-06, SE-02, JU-06A, TR-09, VT-4, Go:Livecast, Rubix44, Shure SM7b, Push2, Ableton 11 Suite, Sibelius, KRK Rokit 5, |

I guess I'm just dense. I already have the midi-ox software installed, the M-1 factory sounds from the M-1 Source and the Korg Forum download section. I have tried to download the sounds into the M-1 through midi-ox, and nothing happens> Can amyone help? |

Yep, double-posting is not very courteous.
Anyways, let's continue here. Have a look at this thread, it should get you sorted. Everything you need is in there, with screenshots. |
