|
|
Recently, my CD drive has started failing to write cds.
I have reinstalled the OS and Musical Resources using the INTRO button. the first time I did that, it worked indicating that perhaps the SSRam had become corrupted. However, now even that won;t work and the keyboard has seized up again.
Is this going to be terminal - any thoughts of home grown solutions?

What make disks are you using.
If it's Memorex or some other cheap disk, then you get what you pay for.
Buy a Verbatim and you won't have any problems.
Do a search on this forum for memorex and you will see the range of CD-Writing problems people have had due to those disks, and other cheap brands.
In all cases, using a a quality brand like Verbatim solved all their problems.
Regards.

Yep, bet you this will solve your problem too.
Verbatim are about the best you can get, but TDK are just as good too. So if you can get either of those you should have no problems.
Where Memorex are the worst you can get. So... note to anyone reading this post. NEVER buy Memorex.
Regards.
