If you look inside your M3 you will see a SD card attched to the mainboard. If you remove the card, stickit in a card reader and browse the card it shows file names that look like PCM data. If the M3 borrows technology from the OASYS and loads the PCM from the card as the OASYS loads it from the the hard drive then.....work it out!

Shabbee...
What was the size of the SD card?
Was it a standard SD so it could be upgraded in the future you think?

Anyway, if this is true that the PCM samples is on the SD card I think it's great news. If so you should be able to upgrade the M3 for a quite a while in the future.

I can't understand why Korg doesn't announce this. I'm thinking of buying an M3 but it won't happen before I know more about its future.
I think the Korg Corporation information modell stinks.

I took a picture in a hurry when installing the radias....didn't look so closely in there.... but here's a picture anyway if anybody is interested:

Note that you dont see the whole "motherboard" of the m3 only a part under the radias expansion plate...

OASYS sales are GUARANTEED to excel if they AT LEAST gave us SOME updates about the sequencer or AT LEAST let us know it's being worked on.

Agreed on this one, Sina.

Mind you, every fellow musician who have seen my O, after few patches play, they all asked me to show them how the sequencer was, and wanted me to tell them my experience working with it. They all see the O and seem to think "this could be "it", it has all I need within, yeah, now lets see if I can "completely-record-everithing" with it".

Thats how I asumed the sequencer is an important part for people who lure the Oasys. Its not just few of us, Its more important than it seems for everybody in general.

Err... sorry for the Off Topic here. Smile

I think that korg is not going to tell us nothing about expansions ,What kind of music are there? , how are going to load in the M3? , how many expansions is korg to make?, how much will it cost more or less? , if we have to be installed the RAM expansion for load the USB EXB ?

If everybody can answer to some of these questions I can say thanks.

In the namm of 2008 , perhaps korg present to us the expansions .

regards.
