I am just curious, is Version 1.00 the latest software on the M3?

I don't own a M3, but some weeks ago I saw already an OS update 1.1 and an editor update 1.5 on the japanese Korg site.

Shocked

I've seen, but I can't understand nothing, it's in japanese... anyone knows if this update really works?

Google translation of the txt with the package:

V1.1.0 of the new features (For details, please refer to the instruction manual.)
General
[New feature]: optional EXB-FW response
-- Optional EXB-FW to use the M3 system V1.1.0 need to update to. In addition, M3 Editor / Plug-in Editor V1.5 update you need.

[New feature]: optional EXB - RADIAS V2.0 to respond
-- Destination virtual patches feature parameters to add選択枝
-- To enable this feature for the optional EXB - RADIAS to V2.0 update you need.

Global mode
[New feature]: P0 Basic, Velocity Curve, a new curve 9 Add
The standard curve 4 compared to the weak when弾ITA response from the soft curves. Acoustic piano, and the tone of the dynamics of a wide Velocity control is possible. Especially M3-88, I recommend setting.

It seems there's a new velocity curve, as many of us have requested!

Aha ! This is very cool for M3 folks who have the EXB-RADIAS. We just had the RADIAS 2.0 update for the standalone synth and it adds a lot more flexibility as far as modulation routing is concerned (i.e. lots more Modulation destinations in the Virtual Patch modulation matrix)

Check this out from the RADIAS forum area : http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27862

I am sure Korg USA will post the English version of this OS update on korg.com shortly, after they've done the extra testing they like to do; it's well worth waiting for that package to be posted rather than using the Japanese version.

Daz.

Yes, the new OS will be available shortly.

We were waiting in the rest of the world because for the EXB-FW to work with a Mac you needed to be running 10.4.11, which was just released, and includes an important fix to a Firewire bug in the Mac OS, or Leopard (10.5) , which is still being tested.

The new version 2 RADIAS features for the EXB-RADIAS are a welcome addition too! It will take a little bit of time but we will convert the new soundset to EXB-RADIAS format, so please be patient while that happens after the OS release.

As always, I'll announce here the moment we post the new OS.

Regards,

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

so you suggest to wait the USA release of the new OS?
Is there the possibility to have problems with the jp version?

thanks
Andrew

Yup, I want to know it too, now I'm using curve 5 (with the 4 it's impossibile to reach high velovity values), hope 9 is what I'm looking for..
