Hey guys,

Looking at the M3-73, the module is in the center and there are two panels, one on each side. I've seen that you can move the module over to the left and put a Radias-R on the right. But I was wondering if it's possible to instead just put the two panels on the right, instead of the Radias-R. I'm thinking that if it were possible, it would provide a nice space to place my MacBook Pro.

Has anyone tried this or know if it's possible? Can the module and panels be moved in any combination?

Thanks!

Mark

I looked at the M3 Keyboard Assembly Manual and my interpretation of what is written is you can move those panels in any position along the back:
http://www.korg.com/service/downloadinfo.asp?DID=1320

1. Page 4, point 8 states "the entire locking support can be moved to ANY location along the rear rail.
2. The manual makes no mention of the cover panels having any type of "sided-ness" (i.e. there is no mention of "left panel" or "right panel", just "cover panels").
3. The pictures of the cover panel appear to show it only contacts the frame in two locations [page 8] (1) a slot in the rear rail, and (2) held down in front by the retaining bar (which runs the length of the keyboard).

Unfortunately due to the retaining bar, I doubt you could test this out at your local store.

Someone who owns an M3-73 will have to test this out for you.

Thanks for the answers, guys. Martin, you're always very detailed oriented - I appreciate it Very Happy

In the thread that Jon linked to there is a picture of Muco's setup. I can't tell though if his keyboard is on the panels or resting on the rails. I emailed him for more details.
