I tried different drum loops, song, and a few instruments.
I toggled like crazy, so there was no harmony really, heeh..
But no extra sounds added either.
I may say that the crazy on/off samples made an unpleasant abrupt cut, sound wise, but as said; no extra sound added..
I'll be stressing it more during the weekend, we got a gig on Sunday, so I'll put it to the test in a really loud situation then. Twisted Evil

Yeah I can confirm this:
pop/crackle noise after Resampling Looped-Samples!!

it's really pissing me off!
I thought there was something wrong with my unit.

I hope Korg will address this very Soon

I will confirm the problem with the sample trigger modes 3 and 4 on my KP3 too.
When stopping the sample playback, there is a clear click.
I has greatly diminished my joy from having these new modes,
which I had been missing in the KP3 from the moment I bought it.

I think that a 1 millisecond (or so) "release" would eliminate the click.

Clicking has also plagued me in the SMP.1 to SMP.7 Programs when starting
and stopping samples. If this was one of my regular synths or samplers,
I would just dial in a very small amount of attack and release times until
the clicks disappeared.

The clicks are most noticeable with looped pads or tonal soundscapes
and keep me away from the great potentials within Programs SMP.1 to SMP.7

If these clicks are eliminated in a future update the KP3 will become
even more essential to my live work.

Thanks to Korg for the Version 2 update. My fingers are crossed for 2.1.

Sounds like a zero crossing point issue.

This is inherent on all hardware looping devices and is not a bug.

What Korg should implement is a 4ms fade in/out feature.

I've experienced this problem too, but not to the degree that I would stop using it. It's not a glaring click by any means.

The nature of this type of music is that no one listening is going to care. For example, I think the reverbs on the KP3 sound cheap and "ringy" but work just fine for electronic dance music. Is this s**t going to prevent you from rockin the house - hell no.

While I'm at it, until the KAOSS pads are made as balanced systems utilizing TRS inputs (or even XLR!) they will inherently be NOISY anyway.

After some trying I've noticed, that the click can be reduced by a faster and stronger hit on the sample bank button to stop the sample. To me it seems less noticable when doing so, it even disappears completely sometimes, although I don't know why, because apparently it hasn't got anything to do with the KP3's hardware. I've seen that when I connected the KP3 to a sequencer and let the sequencer start and stop the samples by note on/off messages - the click is still there without touching the sample buttons.

Hopefully there'll be an update, but to be honest, I expect a KP4 to be released rather than an update for the KP3.
