Hi Friends...Just doing a lot of messing around...

Thought this might be a basis for more later....Used to do a bit of this style strict improv in a small club with a bassman who knew me so well he seldom missed a que....

Mine And Yours...Very short...

NOW..Changed to Woof! Woof!..and with bass and brushes...I know..still needs some piano notes lined up..I'm not good with this you know...???!!

Hi Johnny

This is very good! Hope to hear you go into jazz mode more often. I can't believe you kept this talent a secret for so long!

Hi ellll

Love the cool bass! It's a bit too soft I think.

You must have played this in real time, so as you say it's not all lined up.
If I were you Very Happy ...I would play to a set beat. But that's just me and not what happens in real life. Whereas you say you have had some experience playing live jazz.

But it has those lovely moments when all seems to sit really well, then just falls apart a bit. Maybe the brush cymbals a bit softer, they're a little too insistent-like.

??

But I"m no expert on this, can't do this at all in fact!!!

Keep going with this!

Dee

Hi ellll,

Ohh man - this is my calling - I was born in the wrong time zone. We should get together and jam on of these days.

It must've been great to play w/musicians who were really THERE - so hard to find.

If you want to do a collab on this style - I would love it Smile

Very good and relaxing, touching me inside!
You know how to play, john!

...just a very quick note, I would pump up the upright bass, and low down drums, they are too much loud IMHO...so smooth and nice, but too much loud, they are pointing my attention away from the piano.

regards

Hi ellll

Had another listen to this and really like your piano playing. You manage to capture a lovely dreamy jazzy mood. What a delightful surprise from you. After all these years on KF.... Rolling Eyes

Hope more people get to hear this.

Dee

Nice song Cool
Calm and relaxing. Yet interesting throughout.
The Hihat feel could be improved a little tho (in my opinion).
Song was very nice tho. Great piano playing there.
