Hi,

I'm hoping this is something easy as I am new to the midi world, normally play guitar. A friend has gone away for a few months and has left me some stuff to play around with and I want to midi it up, here's what there is:

Korg Trinity PRO X with midi ports = IN, OUT, THRU
an old old Emulator with midi = IN, OUT
DR 660 Drum Machine = IN, OUT
Mixing Desk Tascam 2488 = IN, OUT

Plus there is a V3 MIDI Thru unit which has one IN and Three THRU.

I want to use the Korg Trinity as a master keyboard eg play the drum machine and emulator sounds on it and record it all to the mixing desk.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you have.

JA.

My advice for what its worth.
Forget about the outboard gear.
Trinity has much superior sounds.\\
You could put down a drum pattern from the Dr660 on two tracks
and then play the Trinity live as overdubs.
Trinity sequencer is very powerful but needs a lot of time
to understand it.
Best Of luck

Barry

Many thanks for the reply Bazz02. Yes your right probably best option to just play straight into the recording desk the good old fashioned way.

Yep the Korg has some fantastic sounds, I haven't tried the Trinity sequencer, do you know any good website or books for getting started with Trinity sequencer or is it a case of just getting stuck in to it and trial and error.

Thanks.
