The L and R levels are not equal when I'm recording. The wavform is visibly different. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi

Have you checked the audio source to see if it's output is even on both sides? It might also be that the mix is like that on the audio your listsning to possibly..?

Hey thanks for the speedy reply. You were right, the audio was not even on both sides. I realized that the left and right in the insert effects channel were set to L 40 and R 86. When I lowered the R to 80, the Left adn Right wavforms evened out. It sounds the same to me, but the waveform is no longer way fatter in the one side. Am I right that bass waveforms should look about the same size on the L and R of the stereo track unless the sound is panning or phasing in stereo?
