Hi all,
my question: is the M3 Xpanded programs totally compatible with the M50? (except of course for the sounds based on the new PCM)
thanks

Yes they are, but you have to use the M50 editor to import them and send them to the keyboard. the ROM of the M50 and the M3 XPanded are exactly the same.

Ok, I've done some research/testing and let me correct my mistakes:
The M50 can currently import M3 V1 sounds via an SD card. The Editor cannot import and convert any form of M3 data at this time. Korg is aware of this and when we have news about an editor update for this we'll let you know.
From M50 V1.01 and higher it is supposed to be able to load/convert M3V2 sounds as well, but that is not working right for me in my tests (using V1.03). So we'll have to look into that.
I also tested and the M50 cannot "preview" M3 sounds from the SD card, since it has to convert them when loading.
So for today the answer is that you can certainly load M3V1 PCG data via the SD card. More info as it becomes available.

In a few days I will have the M50 and I will try.
Anyway, for now, I don't understand how the M50 can load the M3 V1 pcg, has M3 V1 rom samples are different to the M50 samples (assuming these are the same of the M3 Xpanded).
