Hi,

I've got an 88 key classic. Just this past couple of weeks, the joystick seems to be sticking when moved to the right and not springing back to place as you'd expect. It's also not quite sliding as freely to the left. Up/down is still fine. I'm wondering if something was spilled in there in my absence (and will be having words with the people that were using it too). The effects of moving it etc are all still functioning as normal, just the mechanical springing action seems to have died.

Anyway, my question - is it possible to replace the joystick, or just open it up somehow to see what is wrong, and how complicated is that? Is it something I need to send into a repair shop to do?

Thanks,

- Chris

Anyone at all got any ideas on this? How difficult is a triton to dissassemble?

Hi, I've fixed it a few days ago, you should open your triton, find the joystick block and see if there is a physical damage (usually the plastic near the spring is a little "corrupted"). If you can fix the problem by yourself with some glue and a little piece of plastic you'll have a working joystick in a few hours of work. Anyway, on the bottom of the triton there are A LOT OF SCREW... so be patient and remember exactly their places...
or if you prefer... the assistence is always there...
regards, Lorenzo
