Hi,

I have had quite a weekend this time. I locked myself in the studio on Friday and stayed there pretty much until today with just brief pauses for things like eating or sleeping...in other words, I was in synth heaven for the past two days.

I'm quite pleased with my work. I also realize that this will be my last tune in this OSAM edition. Much I have learned during the past 12 months and while it has been difficult at times to finish a song by a deadline or come up with a reasonable review of someone's work, it was a rewarding experience. My respect to all of you for being able to carry this project forward despite all the crap we have to deal with on everyday basis. I'm looking forward to our new joint ventures, which will inevitably come.

Meanwhile, I present you my most recent creation. I'm quite proud of the arpeggio line because I programmed it myself (on the Radias) as well as the drum track, which I played on the Motif. The pads were generated by the Virus and the solo comes from Roland JP 8k. Finally, Da Bass was provided by my little moog Wink :

P.S. with its 128 kbps conversion, soundclick spoiled the sound quality quite a bit. My next year's resolution will be to set up a private website with 192 kbps mp3 files...

Hi sewa - man you have a variety of instruments at your disposal Smile I like your tunes - you weave wonderful textures. And your recordings are clean. I like the name, and the way you build up to an ebb and flow peak - slick! This one is going to join a few of your others on my iPod.

If 128 is inferior - I wonder what the 196 version sounds like. You can always put it on the ftp site here as an alternate.

One thing I noticed is that you don't fill out the MP3 header info. It provides for artist, band name, date, genre etc....

Umm ... Jan. is the last month for this OSAM. We started in Feb. So, technically we've only done 11.

Cheers,

={> Art

Thanks Drwho, I noticed Sewa trying to declare the battle won, when we have another song for January to do. Well, this song is really a blast in your SEWA style. Sparse yet each part steps up to contribute just enough to do the job. This is a signature style for you. And I can tell you had some free time as this seems quite thought thru for taking only a few days to put together. Nice job. And I'm jealous of all your free time.

Yea, don't shortchange us bro!

Sewa you keep delivering. Every song you have given us this year has been fantastic. I love the lead sounds (the sync sound is one of my favs) and the atmospheric stuff in the middle was so smooth.

And I know you are proud of the arpeggio...it is all over the place, and original. Great sound usage as well. Two big thumbs up on this one as well.

Good mix as usual.

WOW!
That's what I call the Synth Heaven, too Wink
And you know how to play in that Paradise Studio!
Very good result, I like it a lot!
The usage of panning always keep living your attention.
The Lead sound is very well-fitting the overall mix and sound.
Sometimes I don't like too much the detuning on the lead to make some sort of "blue" note, as it hurts with the rest of the harmony, but that's just my taste.
I like a lot the break at 2.13, very very smartly presented, as it deserves elements of the previous part, and introduce to something new.

Very well done!

This is way cool sewa!
Some of my favorite songs work in a similar way, and you've done a great job with this.
Very Happy

Synth heaven, I like it Smile

Catchy number as usual Sewa, minimalist but plenty going on, this one seems to bounce along.

Love the sounds you use, and the mix sounds so clear, nice one.

Cheers Simon

Hi Sewa....!

Just LOVE these rhythmic, almost ambient compositions....and the synth melody is killer....shades of Rundgren or....someone ( Confused

This is for sure a keeper, and would hold with most Electronica you hear these days as well...!! Nice Going!

Thanks!!!! John (ellll)
