Hi!
I just want to share with you some thoughts...
The first thing is that I must be so grateful to this OSAM idea and to all "OSAMers" because it's been a way for me to be forced to do something for MY music. I'm sure that during this year I wouldn't have dropped down a single note for my tunes if I wasn't "forced" to do that, due to lots of other happenings.
And I want to say that one of my tunes written for a month's entry placed third on a contest here in Italy, 3rd over about 270 other competitors is a great result for me (the first won a copy Komplete 5, not bad at all if I had won that ); without this OSAM, I would not have entered the contest...
I'm sure I'll have other things to be grateful, I'll leave some other lines as the Stream starts again _________________ Diego http://www.myspace.com/diegoinmusic

Oh, yes...
Here you are what I forgot to add...
This OSAM encouraged me to experimentate a lot, much more than I would have done for any other project.
Talking about new ways to produce music for me there is the iPod Touch: I've installed tons of musical apps, and some of them are so much interesting...going from iDrum to Synthpond, passing thru BassLine.
Unfortunatly I haven't got an iPhone or an iTouch 2G, so I can't installer the 4 track sequencer...
I think my next OSAM tune will be produced using just these toys as sound sources! _________________ Diego http://www.myspace.com/diegoinmusic

Nice words and I totally agree. This has been a fine place to be and a fantastic group to be a part of. I have had more fun with my music than ever before. Better than that, I have got to hear new music that has been both inspirational and enjoyable.
No doubt all have benefited from this outing. I hope we do another one!

Well, the most obvious benefit to me was that I have a new cd that is nearly completed. I have all 12 of my songs basically done. I have my January song ready to post on New Years day and from there I may revisit a tune here or there, but because of 12 monthly deadlines I now have 12 new songs under my belt. During this osam I graduated to the m3 so that was a biggie. Also, I think vocally I've loosened up more. And my style is different now, I'm not sure how this happened, I guess I decided to leave behind the guitarish sounds and go for what these synths do best, which is strange crisp and soft sounds with crazy percussion. So that's what we're getting from me now. I'm thinking maybe we should take a couple months off and then start up another OSAM maybe March.??? _________________ George Nelson is 2loose

March sounds great. I think that really only amounts to one month off, and then the month of March to deliver, but that is great. No need to really "break" from something we all love.
Anyway, maybe it is time to solicit new members who may be interested as well as some who passed this time around.
One thing that is really exciting is how many posted for so long...we are still over 50% in the final haul of this thing...awesome! _________________ Jon Solo

What a great idea - when I first heard of the 4 tracker for the iToys I was like what? But then I checked out the apps. you names and they are totally cool! Of course you need headphones. The Synthpod is mega fun !!
It is interesting that the interface has made these apps. work so well, not the computational horse power. I mean the PC has gobs of CPU, but the interface is limited (mouse). One might think that apps. for small devices would resemble the bigger brother counterparts - but that's so not the case!
So I might just use the iPhone for a tune or part of a tune - great idea !!
Thanks Diego !!! _________________ Care for a jelly baby?

Hi!
Sorry I'm late on my response...
I must say that the iTouch is something incredible, some apps are very interesting just for their way to approach the user experience...
We've got a lot to learn as musicians.
For that month I didn't used that yet, but I think I could add it in the nearfuture even to my december's song!
Can't wait to hear your iPhone ideas!
