I now have this image of a row of lady bugs doing a dance all in step - sort of line dancing. I never knew multi-legged creatures could execute such maneuvers!

Nice soft noise you used for the hi hat role. Nice flanged tap tap tap you've got there. Another experiment that pays off. Audio quality - this is clean - I think your voice comes through really good here, even better than your previous tune from what I remember.

The lyrics are wild - okay, they are very wild. Definitely punk theme here. The guitar voice sounded good to me too - nice little riff there. I notice all your tunes have a good driving beat - I guess that is also part of the punk theme.

Well congrats for pumping out 12 more OSAM tunes. Another 12 months of hobby devotion - 'tis a good thing. I take it U R happy with the M3.

Stephen, the m3 is already second nature, but that's only the parts I've used. I don't use the pads at all, and that's what people are constantly posting threads about, and I have toyed around with karma, but my songs are so specific that I will need to expand my style a bit to use it, however I will at some point. One of the best parts is the insert effects have presets that kick butt. There is even a delay that not only repeats and decays, but shift pitches down slightly each time so it dies away losing pitch. Who ever even heard of this. But I discovered it in the presets. The m3 is technically very cool, but one thing it does not do well is load sounds, the cue list is so laggy I have to instantly convert to song in order to hear what I've cued. Also, don't try to string songs together where the tracks actually change programs on the same beat that there is a note struck. There is a hesitation there which is very evident when you record to wav. Now I just know to avoid a lot of program changes, and if I need to change the program for a section that the change and the first note are not at the same time. However, this keyboard kicks butt.

Drwho: I don't even remember what pads and percs I used on this song, but I do think it's busy, which is what I tried to do. My goal here was to garble and jumble the brain and eardrums until you couldn't even keep up with the loops and imagery as it slammed away. So I just wailed away on the vocal and let it fly.

Cool,

I'm picking up more Bowie type lyrics and form in parts of this.

The rhythmic elements really shine, and you have seemed to have used slightly softer sounds for this one, very nice.

chordial: I have been listening to a lot of Bowie, and Trex and others, Ima Robot, Louis XIV. I'm not trying to copy so much as use them for source of inspiration. I love the spacey otherworldly aspect of some of the glammers and it goes so well with synth music.

Hi George,

Very interesting hearing the instrumental mix!!! How the tune is stitched together is readily visible in the instrumental version.

You asked what to do about the vocals masking some of the instrumental goodies - I do agree to a point on that. You could think about writing vocals to not do that at certain parts, but I think no matter how hard one tries it is going to happen - and I think that is ok. That is one of the elements that of good tunes that make us come back for more - we always hear a bit more details of subsequent listens. Sure - some may be forever hidden but I don't think that is a big deal!

My next tune for March I'm trying to do some vocal parts then silence as the music continues so you can hear all the looping pads etc. I need some of the dancey stuff to stay open vocally so you do hear the background magic.

Hey George!

i've listened to this song time after time trying to catch all the details and following the ingenuity of this music, the instrumental version really helped with that.

first let me say, the music production sounds super professional!
i'm impressed with the inconstant changes and the richness in sounds which makes the music interesting and sophisticated yet with lots of humor, the rhythmic parts are crazy - and i love crazy! sounds like some sort of D&B mixed with 80's new wave(to me anyway...)

regarding the lyrics, because my English is limited, i don't think i got the true nuances behind the story and it's a shame because i know it is a major part of your music and the true fun of it, i wish i could...

still... i absolutely 100% loving it!

botega, wow, I'm so happy you are impressed with this song. It too is one of my favorites so far, as for the words, they are meant to be crazy just as the music, yet there are strange double meanings to many of the phrases and plays on words that would not translate well at all. Yet I'm glad you feel that my combination of music styles has worked this time.
