|
|
Hi, everyone!
I'm now using a Korg PS-1 in the External Footswitch jack of my M-50.
Just wondering what your favourite assign is for this pedal.
I've tried setting it to various things, but nothing seems to be globally satisfying. (There's only one setting possible for the whole M50.)
Thanks! _________________ Just got my M50!!! |

I usually assign it to toggle SW1 or SW2 on/off. Then I can have the patch/performance decide what that means. But still I'd like to have the patch/performance decide wheat the foot switch should do, instead of having a global setting.

Thanks, Rune!
Initially I thought that was strange because I can always reach over and hit the S1/S2 buttons with my left hand, but I do see where this setting can come in handy (pardon the pun!) especially since the patch/performance decides the function.
Is there anyway to have it set to momentary triggering instead of toggling?
That would be great. _________________ Just got my M50!!! |

I've got mine assigned to JS+Y atm. Great for adding wah etc to guitars (Wah Lead Gtr JS+-Y is a killer patch) and booting the rotary effect to high speed on organs. _________________ Korg M50-88, Nord Electro2 73, Roland JV-90

I've used the assignable foot switch as portamento as long as I can remember. Sometimes, it's difficult to use SW1 or SW2 if you need both hands. Also, my SW1 and SW2 are often used up on other things.
I used to use it as Patch Advance. But the touch screen makes that almost useless to me now.

Thanks for the ideas, guys!
Great all around.
The portamento settings such as rise time, and which elements have portamento on them can be set per patch, right?
Also, does anyone know if the footswitch can be set to momentary mode instead of toggle? Thanks! _________________ Just got my M50!!! |

yup. You set the portamento time in the patch but don't enable it. The pedal IS set to momentary. On the Triton you didn't have the ability to make it ON/OFF so it was ONLY momentary. Maybe it's different on the M50 but I somehow doubt it. I'll find out when the 73 key is released!

Hi. When I looked at getting a Korg M50 I was distraught to see that there are no favorites buttons or users banks for saving and organizing programs/combis.
If this is true then how would you use this keyboard in a live band setting where you need to change sounds quickly?
Thanks. |

No need to be distraught, just read this thread:
