Well, your rant about Roland and what they've done with Fantom-G IS absolutely justified. There are times that I feel exactly the same thing. The thing that is much of a comfort is that the hardware is right there, waiting to be exploited. If they fixed this poor sequencer, the Fantom-G would be a lot better. So, the only thing to do is wait and see. Someone would suggest me to give my Fantom-G away, but I definately won't, period.

Hey guys!
Well I finally purchased my keyboard! I went with the M3. After a loooot of debating! Very Happy
I had quite a debate about purchasing this one or the Motif as Sina suggested. Heres what happened
Originally I got the M3, got home, powered it up and....The sounds were messed up on it. Like there was a master effect over the whole board, Combi Programs and Seq. Some horrible distortion. so I took it back to Guitar Center and switched for the Motif. Cause they had no other M3 and I though heck, lets try it! So I get it home and absolutely loveeed it! Very Happy it was amazing...but than we realize my dad can't read the screen! Sad I am/was very disappointed. so back again and finally get a new M3. But now I am happy with the M3. and I hope I will stay happy with it!
but thank you all for your advice.
Especially you Sina! Wink Very Happy
I hope that Roland gets their act together for you guys...you seems sooooo angry about it! lol Laughing Very Happy

The only thing I can say is, enjoy your new synth, and make some great music with it. Cheers! Very Happy

if your main point is

1. small, light, portable
2. record vocals

than i think not Fantom, but Juno G.
Juno G is small, light, portable, and directly records audio/vocals.
its also very cheap compared to the rest, and you can install a SRX card.

if you already have OASYS you dont really need Fantom. If you just want sounds of Yamaha and Roland get their modules instead.
