Which workstation do you find most visually appealing and why?

As a piece of industrial design, for me the 01/Wfd is one of the most elegant and beautiful synths I've ever seen (although outwardly it differed little from the M1 and T3). It's also a synth whose sound I treasure.

Obviously, like all digital synths of that era, it lacked severely in the performance controls access department, unlike today's Oasys or M3.

I own a Triton-Rack, a Karma, a Wavestation SR, an i3, and a Prophecy, and the 01/Wfd is still the only synth I want to reach out to and stroke. And I've seen exactly the same behaviour from visitors to my studio.

Kind regards.

I actually liked the look of the 1995 OASYS synth that was never released! Don't ask me why - I wish they would have made the Triton Series synths look more like this

The clean and uncluttered O1W is simply a tank....that STILL...looks good...

If we're going on Looks alone,it has to be the Trinity Hands down...

I only wish Korg had kept the Raised Touchscreen Mount for the Triton,I've owned all those listed apart from the M3 and still got a handful of them, but nothing ever looks as sleek as the Trin, the 01W is close in terms of look and build,I gigged with one of those for several years with no issues and its most definetly a tank of a workstation
The Large Screen is all that makes the Oasys visually appealing and inviting in the looks department, the Trinity has a kind of Rolls Royce Silver Shadow charm to it

The M3 looks better in the flesh than it does in pics, but it reminds me of some kind of love child of some accumulation of an Apple Mac and Ipod

Id have to say the best looking board is the Triton Classic, design wise, it just looks so well thought out, uncluttered & very professional.

Shame about the color though,( it shows dirt ) if only it had the brushed
aluminium look of the Trinity, it would have been perfect !!

because its not on there.
then again it is not a workstation... still i'd say probably the best looking of all the korg synths i've seen. but I do quite like the MicroKontrol too.

Sorry. I was so tempted to put it on the list since I think it's one of the slickest lookin' synths ever. That's probably the only reason I've hung onto it after replacing it with a WSSR a few years ago.

I have a feeling the black M1/WS/01W-look won't be coming back to Korg for a while. I'm sorry, the M3 is just STRANGE LOOKING. I just ordered one today, and I haven't been able to see one with the module down... I think it would be an improvement, but between the M50 and the M3's angular-look, they just look weird. I'll get used to it eventually, but it looks weird.
