Hi again!
I'd like to buy this option for my TRITON, but.... Does anybody know where could I find a conexion SCSI/USB or SCSI/FIREWIRE for plugging the synth to the PC or at leat to a cd-rom external drive?
Thanks in advance! |

While it's technically possible to connect SCSI devices to USB, Firewire etc., in real life the limiting thing are the drivers. Not a problem with computers, but certainly so with (older) keyboards, samplers and such. Your Triton has drivers for the SCSI to work, but does it have them for the USB? |

The answer to that is no, the Triton does not have the drivers for USB or Firewire, so those converters will not work. They work on a PC because Windows can load a driver but there is no way to load a driver on the Triton.
You are limited to SCSI (not that it's a bad thing!) and that is assuming you are lucky enough to have the EXB-SCSI installed. I say to any sampler manufacturer who made SCSI an option. |
