I'm trying to decide between the two. I like the sampling abilities of the korg but it seems the Machine would be better for performing. They actually seem to do about the same things. I like not having to look at the computer at all and that favors the MS. Any suggestions from folks who have tried both? |

I wouldn't say that at all. You can avoid the computer screen with maschine too. Maschine doesn't work standalone though- as in it needs to be connected to a computer. It's a fully-integrated MIDI controller with powerful software attached.
The microSAMPLER is a fast sampler that works in adding light and fast sampler duties to your production workflow. In a live sense it's nice to have ~37 samples at your finger tips. It's compact and portable.
I would say the microSAMPLER's biggest strengths are the included keyboard, battery power and compact size. The computer integration is drag and drop ease and an audio editor for easier trims/truncate.
The maschine is a replacement for the MPC-interested who wanted the pads and something more agile and capable than an MPDXX.
Again, I think these are two different products. I suggest you check some youtube videos of each to get a better sense of how each one would match your vision.[/i] _________________
