|
|
Hi.
I'm suddenly getting a very low hum - actually it sounds like a pitch - a low G - one octave below middle C.
I thought it could be a stuck midi note - but it's not. I've reset the keyboard, done the PANIC - and it's still there. Granted it's very low in volume - but it is there - a constant hum.
Can't tell if it's a stuck note, or some electrical noise.
Any help? ANy suggestions?? |

Have you checked to see if there is anything different in your grounding. If it just started then something has changed. It may not be you. It could be some guy next door using some ungrounded power tool. It might even be traced to the entire neighborhood. Check the ground on your entire power chain.
Good Luck

Do you have an SV1 amp simulation that could be adding noise to the signal?
Also, is the sound still there when you listen through headphones? |

As Shaunkorg has suggested, doing a test thru headphones may help to eliminate other points in your output-chain that could be contributing to the problem. Just make sure you unplug everything in the back of the Korg except the power cord when doing the check with the headphones. _________________ Korg SV1

I have trouble with buzzes when plugging the SV-1 into various amps, probems that my other keyboards (SP-200, and Kawai ES5) don't have. I was at first very happy that the SV-1 had a real power cord, no wall wart... but there are drawbacks to that design if the internal power supply isn't designed carefully.
Fortunately, the buzz is light enough to not bother me on live gigs, and doesn't seem to affect direct-to-disc recording in my studio. _________________ Rodney Sauer
