hello all -

feel like this should be fairly self explanatory but maybe i'm chasing dreams. is it possible to change the "current sample" without (re)triggering the new current sample in the process?

say for example you've got multiple samples going in loop hold / pattern and you want to adjust the level / pan / ect. of a particular sample which doesn't happen to be the last one triggered? or if you want to edit a sample silently before triggering it? can't seem to find any way of selecting a new current sample besides playing the key where it lives, which always makes a sound.

if there's no way to do this any ideas for a workaround?

In a word - nope. And you've already seen my workaround.

in that case guess it must be time to get wicked rhythmic, watch out!

on the bright side, such limitations can be interpreted as challenges to adapt / innovate / learn new workflows and constructively develop more rigor than otherwise considered 'convenient'.
