|
|
I just got a call from my Sweetwater Rep. He wanted to let me know that an ETA had popped up in their system for the KRONOS.
AND IT'S NEXT WEEK!!!!!!
FEB. 1, 2011
He said that he's not positive how accurate it is. They've gotten wrong dates from Korg before, but that's what it's saying now. And their website is also showing that it will arrive soon.
So again if you want to be hooked up with an amazing deal on them (better than the other stores have PERIOD)
send me a PM, so I can get you in contact with my Sweetwater Rep. I'm sure he'll make it worth your time.
Someone from this site got such a good deal from him, that he ordered the KRONOS and the PA3 (new korg arranger)....
send me a pm _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

That ETA is based on information programmed into Sweetwater's system. So, your rep is getting his information based on in-house input.
Rich F., in an interview with Sound On Sound (see YouTube) allowed that U.S. delivery date would be "late April". I would think that is a more credible source of info. _________________ KORG Kronos2-61, Yamaha Motif ES6, KORG Minilogue, Farfisa VIP233, Axiom 49, BOSS RT-20, Neo Ventilator

yes maybe so... but where do you think in house got their info from? making it up? LOL
the sweetwater website actually says this...
"It's Arriving Soon!
We've confirmed this item has shipped from Korg and should arrive in our warehouse within a day or two. Please call and place your order now. We will ship it immediately, the very same day we receive it from Korg." _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

I'm not saying that Sweetwater is not a reputable outlet. But, I've monitored their website for a good number of years. Sometimes, they will put in a tentative delivery date - only to revise it when the date actually approaches.
So..."making it up"? It's a question of semantics. And your rep finesses the question by admitting that he's not sure of the accuracy of the ETA - then adding that they've gotten incorrect dates from Korg in the past. That doesn't mean they got an incorrect date in this instance. We don't actually know whether they got the date from Korg or whether they simply input the information internally. The "It's Arriving Soon!" status on the web site contains the boilerplate wording that pops up when the input date pulls to within a week. Your rep then concurrently sees this on his screen and initiates an email and/or phone call. They are trained by Chuck to be proactive in this manner.
Contrast that with the Product Manager of Korg USA committing himself in an on-camera interview to a delivery date of "late April".
You're the buyer - you decide. _________________ KORG Kronos2-61, Yamaha Motif ES6, KORG Minilogue, Farfisa VIP233, Axiom 49, BOSS RT-20, Neo Ventilator

who cares.... he just wanted to let me know. I'm not buying a Kronos at release. You folks find someway to argue about everything...
you don't think dates change? or get moved up? just as they get moved back?
anyway.... who cares. I just gave info that was given to me. i saw the video just like you did. thanks for your input. _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

Korg haven't even finished writing the manuals, and you believe that Kronos is already shipped? No way. |

I highly doubt this is showing up any time soon. Put your email in the notification section on their site if you wish. _________________ Kronos 61, Kronos2-88, Hammond B3, Baldwin SD-10 |

I'm saying who cares about that stuff you're talking about. And again.... i didn't order a kronos yet. I'm not getting one at release. Not as of now at least.... you see my gear list...? I don't exactly need it just yet... maybe want it... but I can wait a bit. _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

no man, I didn't say I believed it. The rep even said, that this kind of info has been wrong before....
But he felt inclined enough to call and let me know the info, and I returned the favor to the community. _________________ Please subscribe and follow me on Youtube and Facebook for information related audio technology.

I streamlined it and went to the essentials.
But if you find that the original version was less "Catch 22"-ish in its logics,
here we go:

Thta's unedited, pure Director's cut.
May I translate it in plain English?
"Everybody knows it's probably bullshit, I don't believe it and the guy who generated the idea thought it probably is a mistake: but let's spread it anyway, never mind what happens if somebody believes it. More information is always good, tright? Even if it's dubious"
I just noticed that this is how airplane disasters happen.
A says to B that C is probably happening, but the instruments are probably wrong. they agree that the instruments are wrong, and that the information should be discarde, so - being human and fallible - they go and tell D that C is happening. D believes it, American Airlines 228 lands into McDonald's kitchen sink 5 miles south of the Podunk airport
