I still see no reason to accept continuous capitalized text. I consider it as a completely inappropriate call for attention, most times from people blowing themselves up like ox frogs, and usually from trolls.

Posting a separate paragraph for each sentence, well that should be more like a traffic infraction - using excessive vertical space to say the same thing. Smile

I was taught to write like that.

It is a form of courtesy to the reader:

That's

OK.

I

was

just

writing

tongue

in

cheek

about

excessive

vertical

space.

Smile

I was serious about all caps.

On a general note, may I say that I deeply dislike the "censored" thing.

Either a forumer is a jerk, and in that case he has to be banned,

or he posted obscenities or racist rant or spam or personal insults, and that has to be erased,

or, in all other cases: we are all adults and we can discuss ideas, no matter how hard to swallow.

Censorship on the base of technical content is never advisable.

On this forum we had "untolerable" tirades, some by whole GROUPS of forumers (the "Oasys funeral", eg), and there was some good in all of them.

Let the readers respond

IMHO.

Agree, Thanks....I'm moving on.

Just an observation, Neither Sharp nor any other forum admin person censored Flash-in-the-Pan's OP. The author decided to censor it himself, and make it look like a forum admin person had done it ...

I missed that point. Really? It was made to look like it was really censored.

In that case, the guy is a loser.

I'm sorry I wasted my indignation on a w*nk*r, if you pardon my French.

Apologies to Sharp & Co.

The forum admins only censor posts that are illegal or which break the forum rules. There is normally a warning first, and if a message is removed for any reason, the forum admins post a message to say what has happened. The OP was edited 3 times by the original author, the 3rd edit resulting in the word "Censored" that you see above.
