Although he plays the melody for his Eastern style properly but it's totally out of character for a Sax. It would've worked way better with a Clarinet, lead or string instrument.

First I would like to thank you for posting the video. He plays with nice feelings but as "Assyrianpianist" says, it it out of character for a Sax, it would've worked with a clarinet, lead... Im not so sure for a string instrument. But yes indeed it is well played anyway..

I know guys playing saxophone in arabic style. But if he is playing 99% then we would not have needs for live musician. I really really hope this will never happen, because the beauty of music is real instruments and play with a touch of feeling NOT technology. Technology just makes it easier for us with playing using functions.
Yea, sure the MR. Sax VSTi plug-in sounds amazing. What I meant, and i'm sure Sam meant the same. The playing style suits more for Clarinet. Of course I have to admit he plays with feelings, thats for sure...

Regards, Ronny

You can play middle eastern music with any instrument you want, I have played with a sax player from bulgaria that played and sounded like a clarinet at times, this guy on this video is AWESOME! if you don't look at the video and just hear at what he plays he comes very close, this boy has a lot of feeling.
