How is kronos setup to handles multi samples
does it exist in real sense of the word or does it do things differently..
samples setup on individual keys, do they have there own parameters or are some parameters for the whole patch global like filters and envelopes etc...
How about multisamples? can it do this?

Standard structure for a Korg sample-based program in any of their workstations is as follows:
-One program contains up to two 'oscillators' - sample players. Each takes up one voice, and has an amp, envelopes, filters.
-Each 'oscillator' can have a number of multisamples to switch between with velocity. In the Triton series, it was two, but I think there are four or eight now. In addition, the M3, OASYS, KRONOS, etc can crossfade between velocity layers.
-Each multisample consists of any number of samples pitched and stretched across the keyboard
So filters and effects and that are program specific. Meaning you can have two programs with the same samples but completely different envelopes, filters, etc. Makes sense when you have basic waveforms too.
If you want more control over the individual samples, you could try programming a drum kit instead, where you have sample, pan, level, filter, envelope, FX send, etc for each key.

Thanks..
Just wondering too about something demonstrated in the promo video..
They are playing the sampled Piano and are telling us that the samples are being playing directly from the hard drive and are not held in ram.
Advantage is the ability to have very large sampled instruments..
Question...
Can the user take advantage of this method when creating there own sample libraries and also have the option to play instruments/samples from the keyboard in this exact same fashion.
Thanks..
