I doubt the latter very much, but we can agree we are happy how close emulations have come meanwhile.

Then try for yourself then. Compare two minimoogs and take a look at their circuits like i did. Smile

A misunderstanding:
I don't doubt the difference between Minimoogs at all, since I know that very well. I still doubt that Arturia comes as close, as two Model Ds would, despite their differences. Arturias Mini is close, but not THAT close for my ears.

Ah sorry about the misunderstanding. Smile.

Funny, this has happened at times, but not during my tenure at Korg. We used numeric engineering code names, not cool words.

But at Ensoniq we certainly used cool code names for projects, because we had the freedom to do that. After the many issues with the VFX we started to work on a new project and code named it "Phoenix", rising up from the ashes...

Wink

At one time the team was going to work on a true physical modeling analog tabletop, and the project was code-named FIZMO. After I left I was very surprised to see a trans-wave/wavetable synth come out with that same name. Obviously they liked the name so much they repurposed it for a completely different product.

So it certainly does happen.

But not for KRONOS.

Regards,

Jerry
