and they didn't even play "jump" :(

Can the "jump" sound be programmed on the Kronos?

I need to know, before I sell my roland gaia and order a kronos.
Fear not, your Prophet '08 can do Jump. ;D

I' sorry to disappoint you my son, but no
The jump sound can be made with about any analog modelling synth that has two oscillators. I'm pretty sure the Polysix engine is very suitable for it. I made the jump sound on Nord Wave, Prophet 08, Novation Supernova II, Modular G2, Roland XP-30, Novation KS5, Virus TI and Yamaha DX7 IIFD. It's actually a very simple patch.

The Jump sound can be made with ANY crappy keyboard that has a poor at best saw sample. You don't need any modeling for this...
Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).

I agree. I can get a better Jump sound on accident...

Indeed(I didn't make the video, BTW, but I think it's hilarious), it seemed in line with the quality of the OP's linked vids.

You did. Really.

On no less than 8 different synths, one of them a virtual modular.

I see.

There must be long, long winters up there.

My point is that you can do it on almost any synth.
Can't believe you didn't get that.

Almost, that's true.

But of course synthesizers can create ALMOST any sound. Not literally everything. Just almost everything.

And now that you mention it:

did you manage to replicate a bassoon sound on any of your synths?

Because, I dunno, it's like... it's like it's almost impossibe to replicate the bassoon timbre on a synthesizer.

Almost, that's true.

E.g.: you can't do it on a sampler. No, wait. You can. On a rompler? Ditto. the M1 had one hell of a jump patch. The Roland Gaia? probably the Roland gaia can't. No, it can. An old clavinova? No, it had the jump brass sound as well.

Got it! Got it!

The moog theremin.

Could you program the jump patch on a theremin?

Is there a problem?
