Legacy sounds?

Post by Rosen Sound »

By legacy i mean older korg keyboards of course! To us metal players we just absolutely love our tritons! why? cause they sound perfectomundo for what we play! However some of us need more power, and need more realistic sounds for other situations, enter kronos!

I am wondering if some old waveforms will be present, such as the triton and N364 strings, and some bell sounds (the ensemble bell patch has been in korgs since i think even before the trinity, very used in metal, cannot live without our ensemble bells!)

Im entering the studio in about 2 months, i plan on getting kronos week one! and im wondering if ill have to lug my kronos and triton with me.

Of course its fine if we have to sample it and what not, but if anyone can answer this question if kronos will have some samples from older korgs, that would be magnificent

N364 strings (the famous BigStrings patch) weren't even available on a Triton, nor on M3/M50, nor OASYS. I presume they won't be on Kronos either.

Not sure. But I believe your ensemble bells will be there. I remember hearing a patch very similar, if not the same, to Tropico Bells from Triton, on M3.
