Just don't shut the M3 off during a song then.

does anyone know the actual power draw for the kronos?
A small UPS could do wonders - I've dealt with so much cruddy power from cruddy clubs. _________________ ::: Korg Kronos 88 ::: Alesis Fusion 8HD ::: Kurzweil PC361 ::: Roland V-Synth ::: DSI Prophet 12 ::: DSI OB-6 ::: Korg Prophecy ::: Moog Micromoog ::: Yamaha CP-30 ::: Alesis Andromeda ::: Moog Sub37 ::: Sequential Prophet 600 ::: Korg MS2000BR ::: GSI Burn :::

Apparently loading the factory sounds require something like 40s, so with the OS it might be close to 50 or 55 seconds I guess.
The power consumption is 60 Watts... So a small UPS will do the job perfectly!

The M3 start on time : 1 minute 58 seconds.... Just almost 2 minutes...!! too much.
Anybody knows how many time is the kronos start??
i never turn off my m3 in a middle of a show or song..... but sometimes in the stage, accidents happens.
and 2 minutes for re-start its too much..!!
Load an UPS...??? anything else more??
case, cables, footswitch, pedals, stand, bench, memory,......
I carry on my keyboard for myself..! and one thing more its not just this...ˇˇits a lot ..!!
Thanks |

Not trying to be off-topic.. what UPS's are mostly used on stage to support your keyboard rig?
I fear a brown out, or black out, that will reset my M3. The reboot time would be aweful mid performance. Even my Virus has about a 10 second boot time. My other keys boot within seconds. And now to add the Kronos with a long boot time. _________________

Sometimes yes... sometimes not. (the audio company put UPS)
but sometime (with murphy law) the power cord have a little movement into the ups or the electrical conections... and ZAZ...
Disaster happens...!! the keyboard turn OFF maybe.. 1 sec or less...
The rest of the key its wonderful..!!
and i like ( the specifications and demo sounds and videos) the korg kronos..!!
I hope better perfomance in the start time. |

It will be under a minute. But it will also depend on the amount of stuff you want to preload. |

I always use a UPS on stage now... I have a small one installed in my rack flight case that runs my 2 keyboards. I've not had a mishap since and it means the load-up times are now much less relevent for me. I'd definitly recommend using one, especially when you're playing in a marquee! |
