Wavedrum serviceability, future-proof?

The Wavedrum is a fairly niche product and may be discontinued after a year or three. I wonder if i get one now, will I still be able to play it in 5-10 years ?
It seems the only electronic parts that could likely fail during this time are the sensors and the power supply. I presume the latter can later be easily replaced with a quality 3rd party unit of identical spec ?

What about the sensors? Will I be able to pay Korg to replace them even after the Wavedrum has been discontinued? Would that be an expensive job?
