Can the rim be removed and re-finished/ painted? Or are the sensors attached to it? |

I would be surprised if you couldn't, sensors don't last forever. I thought of the same thing but the more I think of it and the more I play I realize it may not hold up well. I pound on my rim and it is showing no wear as is. |

Do you have the silver version? Is it actually painted or just polished aluminium? |

It is aluminun and I think it is a hard anodized, it is holding up great, I mean my kids and I have beat on it and it looks just like it did when I got it last July! |

Anyone notice if their metallic Korg label on the Sensor Cover has started to separate and raise up?
Mine has and it is only 6 months old! |

I originally said mine wasn't but I noticed a corner rising just the other day. I just pressed it back down and it seems ok again. I will keep doing that until I can get it off without bending it, then I'll take some alcohol to the back clean it up and glue it back down with some contact cement. |

Can't decide between the black and silver version.... Oriental is just out of reach ....
Anyone with the black version care to comment on the quality of the paint job and how it's holding up? I wonder if scratches will eventually become more prominent with the black version? |

I haven't seen the black one but I assumed, which is bad, that is anodized als. I really don't know but if it is just paint that seems rather foolish for the longevity of an area that will get beaten. |
