so I've got a sequence playing, and i like to switch the FX on & off for a few different sounds on the fly... the only way I can figure out how to choose which sound/key I want to be the active sound, is by actually pressing the key. but then i trigger the sound when i hit the key, which i don't want to hear. is there some way to select the sound without pressing the key, or at least without triggering the sound when pressing the key?
I'm expecting that there should be something like the Mute function for this, in this case a "Select" button, where you hold a button and press a key to select it... but there isn't one! Or am i missing something? |

No.
That's the only major flaw of MS driven me to find out the solution. My workaround is about controlling the MS externally. _________________ Gear: Kaossilator, KP3, R3, Wavedrum, microSampler, padKontrol, PX4D | Shure WH20, Godin ACS-SA, Fernandes Tremor 5X, Boss RC-50, Roland GR-20, Novation Zero SL MkII, Emagic AMT8, Soundcraft Compact 10 |

The only way I can think of doing this is setting up a sequence where each note is triggered by the hardest velocity hit possible, then setting each sample to be at "VEL INT +63" in the editing menu. This means you can slightly tap the keys to select any sample and only the faintest sound should come out, but the sequencer will still be playing back the samples at full volume. |
