I barely made it this time..

The song is called 'going through pains' because that is how the whole process of composing it felt like. 3d Faint

Its all motif XF: http://www.sewa-music.com/Site/music.html I'll catch up with the reviews during weekend.

cheers Wink

Nice. The sounds, particularly in the last third of the song, are really good. Great chord patterns and some great sounds coming from the synth strings.

I love how it begins. A bit suspenseful and dark...some very creative patterns going all around. Though I will say that the middle was missing something...I dunno. Maybe some higher pitched melodies, or a fast cymbal pattern, to keep the progression going? Just my thoughts there. Then starting at about 1:55, my favorite part of the song for sure. I kinda wish that the song could've gone on for a bit longer. It felt like it just started. Again, great patterns and melodies.

Good work sewa, I enjoyed this one. Smile

I do like this beginning. I'm getting a big of Bauhaus (sp?). Bela Legosi's dead thingy. Good punchy sounds here. I could listen to this sort of thing all night. In fact I often do, but not all electronic pop is up to this standard. This could be compared to Ryksopp maybe. I like that the chords aren't going anywhere I expect them to go to, yet they seem to fit or at least really want to go there. I could use an even longer mix, with even a simple bridge thing at the end here and a repeat of some sort. It's maybe not really too short, but I was just kicking back when it ended. I do luv your style here and I think as you do song after song, you are expressing a personality and personal taste level that is growing and developing into a very unique body of work. Every song you do is deliberate and effortless, even though it's evident that much thought and development goes into each one.

Pumpkin - I appreciate the comments and suggestions.

George - what you say is very kind. Its also encouraging as I'm in a process of setting up an online (game, video) music service. Together with a friend, who is a musician, we'd like to make music for somebody else and also offer some of our own. Perhaps there are more people out there that will like my style too Question Smile

Really cool stuff! I like Pumpkin King's suggestion about a cymbal pattern, or maybe just a lightly shuffled high hat to build momentum around the middle. Some nice pattern variations could compliment the other rhythmic elements in the piece.

My other suggestion is to make the drums just a light pinch more wet.

Well produced a very professional sounding. Belongs in a role-play game a la Final Fantasy, or maybe a futuristic first person shooter like Perfect Dark.

Thanks Charles,

interesting comment on making the drums more wet. I got the idea for the delay on the drum track at the final stage of mixing but tried to be careful with the amount. Good to know I could have used some more.

cheers

Hi Sewa, I like your sound, I think we are maybe of kindred spirits? I hope so as your music is good to listen to, I too think there should be some cymbal work in the mix, just one or two hits in the beginning per measure and maybe some bell hits at the end. Just one or two ideas Sewa, good work all in all!
