How easy is it to get the stuff off my Triton Studio onto a new Kronos so I can get to the gig and tweak later? Does the Kronos recogonise the Triton files, samples etc..

It recognizes Triton's samples, but not program files.

You will NOT be able to load the Triton's programs & combinations into the Kronos.

I would imagine that you could probably input the programs manually (each parameter by hand), I've done that on the M3 with a few programs that I really liked, and almost all of the parameters in the Triton's engine can at least be found in the EDS engine, I'd assume they would be in HD-1's too, but I can't be sure, since I don't know the specific differences between EDS and HD-1. It would take days or weeks to do the entire Triton Studio soundset. Unless you're just doing this with a handful of programs, it's probably easier for you to just accept that the Kronos is a totally new instrument and let go of your beloved Triton! Or bring it with you to your gigs.
