how do you save an edited style ? I edit style in record mode ok, write style back to favourites and then when hit exit from record I get a pop up window - exit from style record mode saying : "the style in edit will be lost if not saved are you sure ? " I have to hit yes as there is no other way out of record mode and then I loose my edit.
any help would be great..cheers |

The message is normal...
If you make sure you write the style first then it is fine to exit. It is just a warning in case you hadn't "written" it prior to exiting. The OS does not detect that you had already written it, hence the message will always display on exit.
If you actually lose your editing and you are sure you "wrote" the changes then you have a different problem.
Hope this helps
Cheers

thanks pete well I guess I have what you call a different problem... I write the edited style ok ( I think ) and it plays nicely edited..but I lose it at the exit from record mode... tis driving me crazy !
I also have another problem... a loud G note just above middle C opposite the songbook tab...mainly on piano sounds. I have now installed v 1.11 but still same problem. I cannot play keyboard live while this problem persists..its that noticeable.
Apart from these two issues I am loving the pa3x |

Hi Howie,
something does not sound right,
you finish your edits,
you touch drop down menu
you should see " Write Style"
you should then get a pop up menu
Write Style
Name
Style Bank
Style
asking you as to where you want to save your edited style
You Pres OK
It writes it into either a User or Favourites slot.
Even after Writing, you should still be in Style Record Mode.
Now if you use Drop Down Menu to EXIT from Record Mode,
you'll get the Message about losing your edits.
Press YES, because you've already written your style to one of the User or Favourite slots.

thanks for reply rikki...yes I do everything you say but the edit is not saved. I still have the original style back in user 1 ie not edited.
I have just sorted it : I was editing a sound volume from inside record mode rather than via the external upper acc3 fader control .. the fader seems to over ride ...hope that makes sense. The edit was - remove baritone sax acc3 on var 1 from jazz/ medium big band 1.
cheers howie |
