Hello, I´ve spend a lot of time to configure nanopad 2 but it doesn ´t work.
Install korg usb driver, choosing all options, in windows 7 it appears in control panel and it says that works fine but in korg controll editor it´s not connected.
I´m running now korg setup utility but I choose start and nothing happens...
any ideas please?
Power led is on, scene 1 led is ond but it doesn ´t work with control editor

Same problem here, except with original nanoPad (not nanoPad2). Any ideas/resolution?

Win 7 seems fine with it from a HW perspective, and acknowledges USB connects/disconnects. Power clearly on (red LEDs are lit and bright). Nano responds to its own buttons.

I think i can help but need a little more info,
when you open the editor it shows all the korg nanos and you cant check "control selected" right?
click on nanopad 2 option.

does a communication box pop up saying " failed to open MIDI port "

if yes i cant help.

if not
your unit is connected and you just need to write the scene set.
i think there is an issue with the software. My nanokontrol 2 never says its connected on the software, but information is still transferred.
I found it annoying and thought it wasnt' connected, turns out it was. i just had to check it with a midi monitor to confirm.

This is happening to me too. Most annoying.

And where do we enter the PIN for the software download?

Did any of y'all check the Control Panel for sound options, under the hardware tab? You should be able to find "Korg nanoPAD2" there. It might say it hasn't been installed properly? Just throwing ideas out there...

Also, the Nanopad must be installed under a MIDI Device Number 0 - 9. If it has been installed on a MIDI Device Number, it might not work. If you run the Korg Midi Driver Uninstall Utility, it'll show you the device number. Just cancel the uninstallation after that. No need to remove it. There's some more info on that overhere:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=59353

Then again, this is a fix for the original nanopad so it might not work on the 2nd version. Still worth a try.

Been searching for the past week for a solution to the NanoKontrol "not connected" problem and this seems to have solved it. When I ran the uninstall utility, I found that the Nanokontrol was set up on channel 29. Once I deleted that and reinstalled the windows driver, it was automatically assigned to the first available slot (channel 2) and is now recognized correctly in Korg Editor.

I spent all day watching videos, tutorials, reading forums, manuals and almost threw my nanopad out of the window. I checked what Whirlguy said and it was my 22 midi device number. THANK YOU Very Happy

I confirm this worked with my Nanokontrol2

1) run the Korg USB-MIDI drive uninstaller (I used the 64bit version

2) once it's started, click "Next>"

3) go to "Options" and *un*-check "Delete Korg Midi Device only"

4) delete enough unused MIDI devices to that there one of slots 1-9 is
free

5) quit uninstaller (don't go on to uninstall the USB MIDI driver)

6) reboot - now it should work

[In my case, when I rerun the uninstaller, it now lists the Nanocontrol
as "Midi 5: Corrupted ... <connected", but is seems to work ok]

Can't say I'm impressed that this seems to be only possibly ty
running the *un*installer but not un-installing - how un-intuitive can
you get??

Now the Nanokontrol2 is "connected"
