Hi guys
I am new here and a new user of an M3-88 (7 DAYS)
I bought also the extra ram and install it. Great synth , I love it, Great sounds.
Now the question: I have a PCG File with my favorites samples. How can I make the M3 to load this automaticaly in the startup?
Seems that M3 can load automaticaly the KEP files in startup (if you select the memorize startup) but not the PCG files.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Martin

Can't be done.

Also, a PCG doesn't contain samples and doesn't need to be loaded every time you boot. A PCG only contains Program, Combination, and Global settings for your keyboard, which are remembered after power off.

The samples that your programs use on the other hand, will be stored in KSF (individual samples) and KMP (list of KSFs for multisample keymap) files.

I think you can also get KSC which will load a bunch of KMP files and optionally a PCG too.

Hi, I have a similar question. Is there any way to convert KMP file into KEP file to be loaded at startup?

Nope, only KORG can do that.

It sure would be nice of them, but I think you have a better chance of winning the lotto than getting the converter off them.

Wink
