I listened to "There are Aliens in my Garage". I think the bass drum may a bit loud. That's based off the waveform that I'm seeing. If I had proper headphones it'd bee easier to critique that. But the sound here and the tone is perfect for what you were going for. Kinda reminds me a bit of Perfect Dark maybe? I know theres some kind of game that this reminds me of, can't exactly think of it though. Good work man. I'll have to check out the other songs later, as I'm gonna listen to some other people's songs here and then get some sleep, hah. _________________ Like my Facebook Page!

I just use my headphones as reference and they're no good. I dont do any post-production and mastering (at the very most I'll normalize or boost the volume a bit). Think it's time i started doing some proper mastering of my tracks. next tracks I do I'll drop into fruityloops to check them with a spectrograph and do some levelling out of things... and if i'm not too lazy I'll go back to my EMX patterns and correct the levels there.
trying to remember what synth i used for that bassline. believe it or not i think it was a heavily tuned down flute PCM =P
thanks for the feedback _________________ http://soundcloud.com/neotechtonics

yip.. it is a super low pithced flute PCM sound haha. (i find it makes for really good breathy basslines)

unfortunately I'm nowhere near the point where I can sit down with an idea and then achieve it. I know absolutely jack about music and production. I play to my ear.. so the tracks take a direction of their own.
It's about time I started learning some music theory. especially chords, keys and scales (all i know at the moment is that C major is all white keys haha)
I really love making complex layered harmonies but not knowing anything about how notes fit together really holds me back... it's very difficult to correct what my ear tells me is a "bum note" when I'm not sure why it is and what should be done to fix it... like which is the offending note.. from which synth part? =/
also learning chord structures will help a ton with conveying a specific emotion in a track..
time to hit the books. =) _________________ http://soundcloud.com/neotechtonics
