As a result of a joint venture between Korg and Roland a new product has been launched - The Jupiter Kronos 80 - to be known as the JK-80.

The nine engines of the Kronos will feed into the Jupiter Super Natural engines to produce unlimited performance possibilities which provides for the Jp-80 with a workstation asked for on several forums.

Korg said " we have listened to our customers who want a workstation with the power of Roland's Jupiter family - this joint venture with our friends at Roland means the game has now truly been changed". Roland was unavailable for comment.

In a surprise addition, there are plans for the JK-21 - a micro key version of the JK-80 which compliments the Korg range of micro/nano products.

In a separate announcement, Korg has revived its Wavestation classic synth and joined it with the micro-series. It will be called the Korg Microwave.

Now, that's one news i believe, the Microwave!! In line with the news of Korg buying Waldorf Wink But i always thought Waldorf would buy Korg someday.

Also heard today that Korg licenced their Kronos engines to Apple, so it will be included in the next Logic Pro 10. Sure way to have the editor soon!! Mmm, thinking about it, not sure when LP10 will be out. Could be bad news...

Kronos sound engines to be Apple? What a waste of time.
