Hi Guys,
A friend of mine has the EMO USB.
I believe it is 128MB (pa2x) but he has a PA3X. Now in theory he has another 128MB free, but when we try & import more sounds from a different .SET, we get a MEMORY FULL message ?
Those who use USB sticks can they confirm that you can still ADD/REMOVE sounds/PCMs from normal .SETs ? _________________ Korg PA2X Pro |

the additional is only available with compression- not something I am familiar with and nor do I recommend it in relation to live sample playing, unless you have a processor WAY above what is in the PA3
...if you want the extra, you need to use the EXB-m256 ship which replaces (damn it!!! - if it was added we could get 384 mb instead) the factory 128mb Ram chip. |

Hello! EMO USB is only 64 mb. It should work to import wav. aiff, kmp and ksf formats. You can even load sound from other sets into that set. Can't see why it doesn't work. So yes, I confirm that you can both Add and delete samples from both locked sets and normal.

Ronny, I THINK he means memory full on the PA3 itself.....
I may be wrong but that was how I read it.

Hi Dennis! I see what you mean. However, the thing is that these usb's cause allot of problems. He is saying that his friend has EMO USB loaded on his keyboard and he wants to mix this set with samples from other sets. Unfortunately he is trying to import, a status appears on his screen: "Memory is full". However, the EMO USB uses ONLY 64 mb of the keyboards ram (originally made for pa800), that lefts additional:
64 MB free space uncompressed
192 MB* free space compressed (A encrypted usb doesn't allow the keyboard to compress protected sample data)
But anyway, thank you Dennis for letting me know that I maybe misunderstood the situation.
Regards, Ronny |

Yes that's what I would have thought too...there should be no probs loading standard uncompressed data from a 64mb stick (if full) as the PA has 128mb (factory) of space...But if the data on the stick is compressed, or is faulty, wrong type, what import process is he using..........
Not really enough information in the OP to go on really... |

thanks for the replies.
I didn't have much time to investigate but this week I'll have a deeper look.
I just want to be sure that using a locked USB doesn't STOP you from still importing other sounds?
So if there is space, You should still be able to load stuff, right? _________________ Korg PA2X Pro |
