COMPLETE:
The Aldan Librarian (http://www.aldanmusetools.com/) fully supports all types of data which can be saved to PCG file from Korg M3 and allows to perform the following with content of PCG file:
• Open simultaneously up to 10 PCG files of any model and immediately switch between files
• Sort Programs and Combinations by Index, by Name, by Category, by Subcategory, by Bank type (HD-1, EXB)
• View Programs(timbres) used in a Combination
• View how Program reffered by Combinations
• Rename for any type of items : Programs, Combinations, Drum Kits, Wave Sequences , Formant Motions, Drum User Patterns , Categories and Subcategories
• Reassign Categories and Subcategories for programs and combinations
• Initialize (make free slots) for any type of items
• Assign preferable Categories and Subcategories for InitPrograms and InitCombinations
• Move any type of items Up and Down in the list and from bank to bank
• Transfer any type of items from file to file
• Transfer(copy) Category/Subcategory settings from file to file
• Add new Banks for Programs and Combinations (both HD-1 and EXB/Exi types supported)
• AUDITION of Programs and Combinations by sending sound dumps from the librarian to a synthesizer via midi-USB
• MASTER file - Archive file for sounds) where quantity of available banks extended up to 16 and quantity of slots in each bank extended up to 1000 items per bank. See below detailed explanation on MASTER file concept.
• Add new items (free slots) for Programs and Combination when working with MASTER file
• DRUM-MAKER – Converter of midi files directly to Drum User Patterns (This feature is work-in-progress at present)

IMPORTANT: the Aldan Librarian provides permanent consistency control between Combinations and Programs, so you won’t destroy your Combinations when changing locations of your Programs.

INEXPENSIVE:
Starting from version 2.0.0 the new registration approach has been implemented.
Now, there are different types of registartion keys for different models of Korg synthesizers.
Depending upon the type of the registration key the access is limited to a set of functions which are required for a certain model of synthesizer.
So, you don’t need to pay for excessive functions of elder models and as a result the price of the Aldan Librarian for Korg M3 model is as low as possible.
Moreover, since the majority of owners of Korg’s synthesizers are from USA, the price for the Aldan Librarian is in US dollars now.

FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS:
There could be done many improvements (like Drag-n-Drop, Copy-Paste, Quick Search, Filtering by banks, printing and etc. ) and I will be happy to invest my time and expertise in further development if you invest in the project.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS TO MY TESTERS:
Special thanks Raul, Apex, Hanon and Manjeroke who have provided me with M3 pcg data and performed several exercises during development of the Aldan Librarian for M3.
My deepest appreciation to Steve Baker who have spent a lot of time testing the software and provided me with the best possible feedback and sensible comments.

Congratulations, it's nice to see there are more 3th party developers creating tools for Korg synths.

Can you post the last version available before the registration changed? I haven't updated since a very early version and I'd like to see how well the program progressed before the reg changed.

Thanks and congrats.

If this would just had been available few years ago I would have bought it right away.
Soon migrating to kronos and what I have understood there might be a upcoming libration function in the kronos editor, If not this might be interesting to kronos aswell Smile

John Lord, the Aldan Librarian already works with Kronos.

Apex, your old reg key doesn't work now. Please find new one in PM.

McHale,
Beg pardon , keep only prior version as a reserve copy. And prior was build 201 already.
The software significantly improved from version 1 because version 2 supports different types of banks (HD-1/EXB/EXi), KRONOS and OASYS data chunks, includes new converter functions and actually it was significantly changed internally but these changes are not so obvious when looking from surface.

Guys, while making DrumMaker working for Kronos I found one hidden bug which was not affecting anything in operations but gives wrong result on counting drum patterns. Recommend those of you how are using AL to shift to version 2.0.15 where it fixed.

Another good news for you is that the price of AL reduced to level just to support existance of my site.
Enjoy!

Bad news: Aldan Librarian project officially discontinued.

Good news: Please find FREE Aldan Librarian and related documentation at : http://korgpatches.com/patches/m50/
Free registration key is universal so it works for M50, M3, OASYS and for Kronos (before OS 1.0.5)

Enjoy!

This is so cool Yatrix, thank you very much. Good and bad news indeed.

One question: after inputing the provided registration code I get an error - am I doing something wrong?
