Nice picture, just curious: I assume you make a lot of pictures in x/y direction but what about moving objects (like cars)? Or do you carefully overlap the pictures removing or keeping unwanted objects in?

For the most part everything is automated. The robot takes the photos with a 40% overlap, and the software tries to workout what to keep and what to reject from each photo in order to build up an image where moving objects are retained correctly.

There is a very small amount of manual work in all this. When the software makes the wrong decision, it can tell you what images make up that section you’re looking at and you can paint green what you want to keep and red what you want it to ignore on a mask.

Then the software fixes the mistake and… well… it should all work out in the end.

Regards
Sharp.

Great ... I knew about making pictures like this but not in this way (robotized).

Actually ... it's very cool. Is it portable (a bit) ?
I think you can make terrific pictures depending on the location (not that hthis location is not nice but if it is portable you can make pics from other objects/surroundings too).
