From the Krome Introduction Movie:
Quote:
Krome includes a touch driven 16 track sequencer. Using the piano role editor you can literally touch your music and make it come to live with all the effects and mastering tools you would expect from a full fledged Korg workstation.

So my Kronos is not a full fledged Korg Workstation? I would also expect my Kronos to have this basic features. Evil or Very Mad

I am annoyed Korg. You better care for your customers.
(I won´t bring up the editor and plugin topic. Would I? I fear I just did.)

In your original post, you seem to allude that the Kronos is not a full fledged workstation because it doesn't offer a decent plug-in editor.

never meant to insult anyone here.

but if you are missing so much features that exist in M3 and not in Kronos the simple conclusion is to buy an m3 (too) Wink

piano roll is not in Oasys and not in Kronos, is in M3 and it's in Krome beacuse even if korg i trying to push Krome as kronos offsping, it derives from m3

i actually quite agree.... it says "you would expect from a full fledged korg workstation"... well korg's ultimate workstation is kronos, yet it doesn't have features that krome has??

Piano roll sequence editing is A feature that might be found on A workstation. It is not THE defining feature of one, any more than KARMA is. And that it appears on a new/different keyboard well after the release of a previous keyboard even by the same manufacturer doesn't disqualify every previous release.. or future ones for that matter.

Can't we all just get along?

+1

Definition of a workstation is quite easy, isn't it? Can generate it's own sound and you can compose with multiple sounds and end up with a finished composition in a format that can be 'finalised' without necessarily requiring any additional equipment.

Anything other than that is just a tool or an element within that workstation definition - ie karma and piano roll; neither of which in themselves define a workstation.
