I'm using the Microsoftware Editor to add samples to certain keys. All I want to do is have a series of keys play wav files and then I'll use them when I play live. I have a wav sound I want to put on the key C5. I click on the key C5(in the software) and click file/open sample. It loads the wav file but the pitch is now very high.

I did it successfully with C3. I'm not sure why it won't just play the wav 'as is' when I press C5.

Well.i think it has something to do with the program I used to chop up the wav file. Audacity. If I send the original wav sound to C5, everything sounds perfect. I edited the wav file in Audacity and saved it as a wav and it plays correctly if I doubleclick on the file...but, if I move the file to C5 in the Microsampler software, it raises the octave one level. Odd.

I had that happen to me sometime ago, I think that I ended up using Audacity, to get the correct result.

Here the same problem with a .wav made in Adobe Audition. The Editor/Librarian software raises the pitch with one octave. Get crazy from this. Evil or Very Mad
Has anyone a suitable solution???
