Hi all
Sold my immaculate M3-61 at 11am
Bought Kronos-61 at 1pm
Awesome!!!!
Just messing around in 1.0.7 factory OS level and already loving it - what a machine!!!
FRUSTRATING:- having difficulty downloading 2.0.6 - Korg.com best rate is about 9KB/sec !!!
My internet is running fine everywhere else - is there anywhere else I can download it from (current ETA ranges from 3-8 hours intermittently and has already dropped out once).
Going to read the 1000+ pages of manual to resolve my 1000+ questions - but may get back here for some lazy quick answers if that's OK.
Thanks

Hey Max
Great - you were faster than me !!!
Eventually got the 2.0.6 and all updated nicely.
Now, like you, I am studying the epic.

Congratualtions to both of you. Very quick transitions from the M3 series.
They're not too bad a keyboard in their own right. _________________ Kronos 2 61, Wavestation A/D, Yamaha Genos and others. |

Thanks Karmathanever,
Thanks DennyC,
The transition was been very quick, but was months that I thought to move to Kronos, first because it's a great machine, and second because of the weight and dimensions.
I've had a big discount because it's not the "X" version, so I decided last week and....et voilà! the Kronos is now under my fingers! amazing sounds, amazing all! It's REALLY a step forward.
It'going to join the NS2 73 compact that I have from 2 years, amazing KB so......
But now it's time to play and learn .
I'll come back soon with other feedback.
Cheers.

congratulations KarmaThenEver and Maxipf.
It's a big step up from the Korg M3 since you have now so much extra synthengines to play with. I never regret that i upgraded from the M3 to a Kronos. |

Hey Max
Have you checked out Qui's sound libraries - awesome - had to get them and now having lots of fun with them - worth every cent IMHO.
He has many free downloads including some brilliant tutorial videos.

Thanks to all,
unfortunately I've spent only few time on Kronos because the big amount of work, so I've had time to prepare some combi for the bands only.
BUT I've to say that it's more "confortable" than M3 to build the combi, e.g. now I ADD the effects copied from programs to the existing ones.
I've bought a 2 Gb ram from Crucial, so I'll load all the expansions plus more sounds downloaded.
I now QR's site, he's a great man! I had his combi on M3 also; i think that all QR's combi are a "must to have".
Now I've a week-end to explore it.......I'll come back soon...
Ciao.

Thanks guys. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I suffer from chronic gear acquisition syndrome. I have been very fortunate to have acquired some nice pieces of kit. _________________ Too much gear to list. |
