I really like this little machine. i do own an Ensonique ASR-10 sampler, ESX, Mc-808 they all are capable of sampling. but the MS is the most hands-on of them all. no hidden menu's. good editor, nice little sequencer and good resample capabilities. and easy usage. and awesome fx.
and even a more awesome pricetag
The MS beats all my other samplers period. _________________ Harness the power of Korg synths |

It seems to really polarize people, they either love it or hate it. I think people really misunderstand it's potential.
It has an amazing time-stretch ability. I found by turning the BPM of the machine to a to-be recorded loop's BPM to sample it (this gives the microSAMPLER it's required data for the sample's original BPM) and then turning on time-stretch for the sampled loop, you can change the sample's BPM without pitch change to a pretty extreme level with loosing sync with other loops sampled the same way. _________________ Korg Gear: Electribe 2, microSAMPLER, Mini Kaoss Pad 2, monotron, nanoKey, nanoKontrol2, nanoPad2

I totaly agree.
my initial thought about the MS that is was a toy. but after fighting with the MC-808 ( good sampling but a real hassle to get the samples assigned to a pad, ect ect) i decided to go for the MS. And oh... i was wrong about the MS. not a toy, but a real good hand-on sampler. i made a few banks of samlples just in one evening. its a breeze. _________________ Harness the power of Korg synths |

man!! that was really nice! i love the clarity of it ..even from a youtube video..i can only imagine what it would sound like live, bro! and you're right..this is a hands on machine. i was going to get the microkorg synth but i got to thinking that i could assign any sound into the microsampler and have as many synths and keyboards sounds i want..including some nice piano and drum sounds. my next thing is to sample a real drum hi-hat and cymbals. |
